W&H carries the name of Salzburg around the world via the dental technology industry.

The family business of W&H, with its main office in Bürmoos, close to the festival city of Salzburg, represents an important economic influence in this region - the company is recognized internationally for its high quality dental instruments and equipment.


W&H – Austrian family business


The precision engineers Weber and Hampel began with the manufacture of straight and contra-angle handpieces for dentists in 1890 in Berlin. In 1944, the factory was transferred from Berlin to Bürmoos near Salzburg.

In 1958, W&H went into the ownership of Dipl.-Ing. Peter and Hilde Malata. Today, the company employs over 800 people worldwide. More than 95% of its products are exported all over the world to more than 80 countries.
